Who we are
UTECHS is a software engineering practice based in Istanbul, Türkiye. We are responsible for the personal data described in this notice. To contact us about it, use the contact page.
What we collect
When you send the contact form, we collect:
- your name and email address, and your consent to be contacted;
- what you choose to tell us: your company, what triggered your enquiry, your stack, your timeline, your message, the service you are interested in, how you would like us to reply, your phone number and your country;
- the page you sent the form from, the website that referred you and any campaign tags in the link (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign);
- the language of the page, your browser's user-agent string and a one-way hash of your IP address, used to stop spam and abuse. We do not store your IP address itself.
If you click a WhatsApp, email or booking link, you leave this site, and that service's own privacy terms apply.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To reply to your enquiry, and to discuss or prepare a proposal. The legal basis is your consent, and the steps you asked us to take before a possible contract.
- To keep the form free of spam and abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the service working.
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising or add you to a mailing list.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for 24 months after our last contact, unless we start working together. In that case we keep what the client relationship needs, for as long as it continues and as long as the law requires afterwards.
Who processes it for us
- Cloudflare hosts this website and its database, and processes the data for us as a service provider. It may process data outside your country, under its own data protection terms.
- Notifications and email. When a new enquiry arrives, we receive a short summary of it, without your message, by email in our inbox, which Google (Gmail) hosts. Emails you send to hello@utechs.net are forwarded by Cloudflare to the same inbox. We may also use a messaging service such as Telegram for the same summary.
Cookies and page counts
This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies. We count page views without cookies and without personal data: only the date, the page and a total. The back office used by our own staff sets a sign-in cookie for staff only.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, data protection law gives you rights over your personal data. These laws include the EU and UK GDPR, Türkiye's Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK), the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL).
You can ask us to:
- tell you what data we hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct it;
- delete it;
- stop using it, or withdraw your consent at any time;
- send it to you or to another provider, where the law allows.
To make a request, write to us through the contact page. We will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your data protection authority, such as the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) in Türkiye or the Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA).
Changes
If we change this notice, we will update the date at the top of this page.
